Colon cleansing can be done with herbal products.  Colon detoxification should be done with all natural products whenever it is possible.  This is not the only way to get the results you are looking for.  Instead, try a colon cleansing home remedy of herbs.  Some herbs are more well known for their ability to release this pent up waste in the body.  The herbal colon cleansing products starts with choosing the right herbs.  One of the most commonly used colon cleansing herbs is cascara sagrada, which has been used by Native Americans for many years.  It contains anthroquinones that provide a natural laxative to the body, plus this element provides strengthening to the colon walls, which gives long term benefits.

There are other herbs that are commonly used in herbal treatments for colon cleansing.  For example, chickweed may be something you consider.  This is a great tool for relieving constipation naturally.  It is a fast acting herb that will likely cause you to have a bowel movement within a few hours of taking it.  It is beneficial because it helps to flush out all of those toxins as well, including those in the stomach that are known for causing constipation.

You may want to look into slippery elm as well.  Here, you have a good all purpose type of herb, because it works well for many needs.  It helps to regulate the bowel and colon's movements, therefore being effective at helping with diarrhea and for constipation.  Two others to consider are senna, which is a strong laxative you should be careful about.  Take it in the form of a tea for the best results.  It may cause you to feel a bit nauseous, though, so add a bit of ginger to the tea to improve this.  The other is rhubarb which works well in the same way. In addition to providing bowel movements, this herb will also provide you with reduction of inflammation of the colon.

As you consider colon cleansing, be sure to look for other colon cleansers, which are designed to give you the results you are after.  Always choose organic colon cleanse products since these will work the best with the body and give the best results with the fewest side effects.  Be careful about choosing too many herbs for colon cleansing as you should regulate the use of any of these products so you don't lose too much fluid and especially not too much of the good bacteria in your body.
